20″ x 20″
This art quilt “A Second Self” features a traditional quilt block (Friendship Star) but done in a non-traditional way. Featuring hand-dyed fabric from Cherrywood Fabrics, the shapes are made with smaller pieces of fabric that have been fused to similar background fabrics. All of the pieces are quilted down with black thread in quilting lines that are 1/4″ apart. A piece of black yarn has been couched down in simplified version of a Celtic friendship symbol.
It is machine quilted with a knife-edge binding. It comes with a hanging sleeve and rod, ready to hang on a nail.
